priyanka on verve

even though new year's is over, i still am in love with this outfit (louis vuitton) as modeled by priyanka on the cover of verve, and now i really want to party with priyanka. props to verve and louis vuitton. 


it definetly looks a lot better on her than it does on the model, maybe because priyanka actually has some curves to fill out the shaped top and skirt and because those boots are not in the cover pic. well, then again, everything probably looks better on priyanka. i love the pewter color on a party top, and the magenta skirt balances it out nicely. 
and of course, there has to be wind blowing priyanka's hair. ah bollywood and its belief that women always look better if their hair is blowing in one direction or another.


the structured skirt idea reminds me of lady gaga's fabricated hips, in march and at this year's VMAs. but i probably shouldn't even start musing on the connections among famous design houses and lady gaga's style choices. she's just too crazy

so overall points:

• priyanka chopra looks amazing (as always) on the cover of verve

• skirts with structured hips and metallic tops are hot party wear.  
• lady gaga is crazy but inspirational.
