desi t-shirts

these amusing desi "pride" t-shirts are the main draw to sites such as desiwear.com, desithreads.com

and desirage.com. I stil don't know how I feel exactly about all of them.

my desi side thinks they're cute and funny, but the rest of me wonders when I'd ever wear them, besides at a gathering of fellow desis. i like that they're fitted though, but i'm also wondering why the model in the first picture looks so unhappy.

all the above websites have many other designs. desiwear has a t-shirts for promoting obama, and multiple others based on bhangra and music, and even one playing off of manchester united. desithreads has lots of fitted t-shirts, track jackets and even a few long sleeve shirts with a ॐ and other themes. i also appreciated their "absolut desi" "thank you come again" and "brown is sexy" t-shirts. also check out desirage for clever t-shirts for men, women and kids. i like their "patelmotel" and "major league dhol players" designs (http://desirage.com/shop/popular/). maybe good for a joke gift or your next family reunion, or if you think you're losing your desi identity among all your non-desi peers :)
