Her line is composed of pieces inspired from classic Indian jewelry styles with a modern, western twist, that makes them so wearable and stylish. Also they are just gorgeous pieces that are relatively inexpensive. 

I especially like her "criss cross bangle" ($30 on Gilt) and her "colored bangle" ($28 on Gilt). 

These are done much better than the cheap, sidewalk fashion jewelry we can all find for a few dollars wherever there's a Bollywood music shop or an India Sweets and Spices, and they aren't going to break the first time you wear them out.

So, I'm back at school with significantly less time to blog, since I now have to go to class, write papers read waaay too many scholarly articles, and um, party!!!! Also, apparently since the end of winter break I have mysteriously been subscribed to National Geographic Traveler and Rolling Stone. I'm not complaining, both titles are great to read while I'm on the elliptical. And the National Geographic Traveler has lots of great pictures for me to collage with (ie. procrastinate). But I don't really know how I suddenly have these. And Rolling Stone has already started sending me those never ending "renew now and you'll receive 45 issues free!!" letters. So, I did the most logical thing anyone in my situation would do; call the parents. And yes, my dad tells me that he gave both magazines my new address since he didn't want them coming to his house anymore. I guess that was nice of him. But he also didn't know either who bought me the subscriptions. Before, when I got that free seventeen and teen vogue subscriptions when I was maybe 13, I knew exactly where they came from: online surveys!!! But now I'm at loss. And I won't work tooo hard to figure it out. Because as they say, you should never look a gift horse in the mouth.

Especially if they are giving you free magazines and/or priya kakkar jewelry (hint to whoever is giving me these free magazines....)
